31 Years Young
Thanks to Dee and Niki for taking Parker duty last weekend so that Jared and I could celebrate my birthday by enjoying a very indulgent and grown-up dinner at The Prado in Balboa Park--and then off to a movie, too! It really felt like a mini-vacation for us. Here we all are (with my all-time favorite kitty--besides Jake, of course, lord rest his soul...) on my birthday morning after a yummy breakfast down by the harbor. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and treats!

Daddy's Office
Parker absolutely loves going to visit Jared at his office now because he really loves watching people skateboarding and he loves to play on the ramps. He runs up and down the ramps, slides down them on his butt or his tummy, and gets to go for skateboard rides with Daddy. Mommy even pushes him around on a scooter! It's like a giant playground, for little boys AND big boys.
(p.s. That funny face Parker is making in the last photo is his "say 'cheese!' for the camera" face...he can't fake a smile for the camera without closing his eyes. It's pretty funny--look for it in many other photos too!)

It's Raining, It's Pouring!
We had two nights of nice heavy rain before Thanksgiving, and then another great rain on Thanksgiving morning. Since Parker's seen it rain only about as many times as you can count on one hand, we made sure he got outside and learned what rain is all about. He had a ton of fun throwing rocks into the "fountain" by the front door, and didn't come inside until his jammies were a squishy wet mess.

Cukoo Bird
Parker's got a real "thing" for putting various objects on his head and trying them out for hats. He particularly enjoys putting his lego box on his head and running around the house--? This is pretty much a once-a-day activity for him, and is usually followed by a trip to the mirror to check himself out.
Dancing Machine 2
Here's Parker showing off his signature move, "Happy Feet."
(Sorry the quality of the videos is so bad!)
