Silly in the Car

Feather Collection

I thought this looked so funny. Parker was really excited about collecting different types of feathers that he found while we were camping--he insisted on always having at least one feather in his hand at all times. I downloaded some cartoons to my ipod for him to watch during his antsiest times in the car, and while on our drive home I turned around to see him so carefully clutching a feather in each hand while delicately balancing the cartoon-playing ipod on his knee. Now that's multitasking!

Feeding Frenzy

I actually shot this video a while ago--on February 23rd. But I think I've finally figured out how to post videos on here again...

Parker is really "playing pretend" a lot more, engaging with all of his toys as animate objects. He also loves it when Jared gives him some fishing lures to play with...thus, one day as we ate lunch together, I looked over from what I was reading and was surprised to see that Parker had lined all of his "fishies" up around his plate so that they could share his sandwich with him!

Sticker Leg

Parker woke up from his nap and went right for a little booklet of stickers. He was so proud of himself when he stuck them down his leg all in a row; then he carefully peeled each one off and stuck it on the wall in the hallway, "hanging them like pictures." They are still there on display, and every time I catch a glimpse of them out of the corner of my eye, I think there are spiders all over the wall! It never fails to shock me for a split second each time.

Mr. Mustachio

Introducing Parker to smoothies has been fun...

Getting Creative

As is often the case, Parker finished his dinner before us this evening, so we kept telling him to go play...he was so proud of himself for figuring this one out! Until he wanted to get down.

The Start of a New Year

2009 got off to a good start! The weather was pretty cold, so we got all bundled up to play outside...or just took the fun indoors!

In Our Wildest Dreams

It's hard to imagine right now that Parker will actually be potty trained one day! At least he's got the whole bring-a-book-along-to-keep-you-occupied concept down already.

It Keeps Getting Better

Just when it seemed like Parker already had the most awesome sunglasses ever, these came into our lives...

Cukoo Bird

Parker's got a real "thing" for putting various objects on his head and trying them out for hats. He particularly enjoys putting his lego box on his head and running around the house--? This is pretty much a once-a-day activity for him, and is usually followed by a trip to the mirror to check himself out.

Dancing Machine 2

Here's Parker showing off his signature move, "Happy Feet."

(Sorry the quality of the videos is so bad!)

Dancing Machine

Parker has been trying out a lot of new dance moves lately...not sure where he learned 'em, but he sure is letting loose! He loves to dance like a maniac to the music his "puppy" plays.

Oh My Goodness

This child is getting entirely too big to be taking baths in his sink-tub! Hopefully we will be able to replace the shower in our bathroom with a real bathtub before he's in kindergarten!

His Future's So Bright...

...he's gotta wear shades. Got Parker some new sunglasses today. 'Nuff said.

Work It!

Parker really likes trying on everyone else's shoes right now. He picked these out from my closet himself--hey, at least he's got good taste!

Foggy Beach, Part One

Wow! After about a week of really, really hot weather, the fog came rolling in this evening. Which means we can add another word to Parker's vocabulary: foggy. I thought I might lose him if he wandered off too far!

Time for Some Swimming Lessons

Parker is really opening up to the whole swimming pool experience--I think we'll take a swimming class this fall.

Hysteria

This might be the hardest we've ever seen Parker laugh. Unfortunately,
he got this worked up right as we were trying to get him to go to
sleep...figures. Amazingly, he fell asleep pretty quickly after having
a dramatic breakdown after this...I think he laughed himself silly. He
almost didn't even take a breath! He was turning red. Daddy sure is
funny.
