ABCs Update
Parker's ABCs are coming along swimmingly...he's even got the song at the end down (although at the end of the clip he kind of loses his place...)! Here he is at lunch hamming it up for the camera (he always wants to watch the video right after we're done!); he was feeling pretty happy after a morning playing in the sand at the beach and then a long, warm shower. I apologize for the food all over his face--but at least it's tofu! ;)

Grandpa Geoff is Here!
Grandpa Geoff came down from Northern California for a visit, and Parker warmed up to him right away even though it's been a long time since we all last saw each other! It was really cool to see how comfortable Parker was with Grandpa Geoff, they acted just like old friends :) We had lots of fun going for a bike ride down to the beach, eating lunch, visiting Daddy at the skateboard ramp, and walking around the harbor checking out boats. You can tell that Parker has a lot of the Prindle side in him! Thanks for a great visit, Grandpa!

Puddle Jumpers
After several weeks of on-and-off rain, we finally bought Parker some snazzy new rain boots! He was so excited to stomp in all the puddles with his new stegosaurous boots, although we quickly realized that they tend to slip right off his feet pretty easily! I guess that means he won't be outgrowing them too soon, which is always a good thing. The rain stopped and the sun broke through late this afternoon, so we headed to the backyard for some photos, baseball, and tractors.
(In case you're wondering, Parker's holding his new favorite obsession--mommy's dainty "do it herself" hammer that he loves to bonk things with! We'll hopefully be phasing this particular "toy" out of his realm of consciousness soon...)

123s and ABCs
Parker's getting pretty good at counting to ten--although he usually starts with three, and often skips five! I'm trying to teach him his ABCs; he's got an alphabet book, with a word/picture for each letter, and I discovered one day that he's working on memorizing the word in the book for each letter. Right now, he's best at M-Y. And, as usual, probably only his mom knows what he's saying!

He's a Little Tea Pot
I performed this classic ditty for Parker one night, and by the next day he almost had it memorized! (Well, maybe you can't tell what he's saying, but his mom can!!)

A Little Off the Top
You may have noticed that Parker's hair has been getting rather long lately...and blonde, and luxurious, and so blowing-in-the-breeze. So, it seemed like it was time to take him for a little trim. I tried out a new kids' barbershop near our house, and while the barber was very friendly, and Parker tried his best to be a brave little soldier, I realized that I really missed his locks once they were gone! But, the new 'do makes him look so grown-up and like such a brainy brunette. He's ready for picture day at school! I'm sure the honey-dipped highlights will be back in no time--this is a sunshine kind of kid. Now, say "cheese"!
